Hub Advisors can address academic questions for all engineering majors regarding course requirements, the Arch program, Registrar protocol, and more. Appointments and drop-in hours are offered.
If you are a first year student, visit The Hub website for more information.
If you are not a first year student, see below for requirements and contact your Faculty Advisor for assistance.

Curriculum Requirements for Engineering Majors
HASS Requirements for Engineering Majors
Declaring your HASS Pathway or a HASS minor does not grant you the ability to register for MAJOR RESTRICTED courses outside of your major. Usually, if multiple sections of the course are offered, some sections may not be restricted so be sure to check all sections. You may register for the non-major restricted section OR if the course is CLOSED (full) or restricted, you can email the professor for an override. It is solely the professor's discretion to add students to restricted or closed sections. Hub advisors cannot provide these overrides.
- Some courses have restrictions to certain majors or class year. See image below on how to find if a course is restricted.
- NOTE: INQR-1XXX courses are for Freshmen only. You will not be allowed to register for an INQR-1XXX course after your first two semesters.

- Courses that have the number scheme of #96# are special topics courses and are being piloted. There will not be a description of the course in the catalog, but there may be one on the registrar website https://info.rpi.edu/registrar/academic-planning.
- HASS has their topics course descriptions and pathway information here: https://hass.rpi.edu/advising/hass-topics-courses. Contact the instructor listed for the syllabus if the course description is not provided.
