As signs of autumn like falling leaves and some cool weather days can be found across the Rensselaer campus, the campus will be buzzing with activity as thousands of Rensselaer families are expected to visit Oct. 24-26 to celebrate Family Weekend.
According to recent data compiled by the American Institute for Economic Research that ranked the 20 best small cities for college students, the Albany-Schenectady-Troy region came in at number 11 on the list.
Nanobiotechnology expert Ravi Kane, the P.K. Lashmet Professor at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, has been named head of the university’s Howard P. Isermann Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering (CBE).
The Friends of the Folsom Library at Rensselaer have announced the inaugural Carl A. Westerdahl Forum, which will take place Thursday, Oct. 16. The two-part program is titled “Making the Connection: Rensselaer Graduates Who Built Bridges over the Hudson.”
