History
In 2019, School of Engineering (SoE) Hub’s Industry Hour transpired from the seminar course Better World Engineering, a course dedicating each of its weekly seminars to one of Rensselaer’s engineering majors. While this seminar introduces a faculty representative from each engineering department to discuss major curriculum requirements, the department’s research, and the corresponding industry, there was a sought-need for the upperclassmen’s’ and alumnus’ perspective. Through the question and answer format of the professional panel, Industry Hour gives students the opportunity to learn about the day-to-day activities of different jobs, employers, and industries associated.
The Current Mission
Industry Hour will introduce and inform SoE students to professional work experiences, undergraduate research, and extracurricular activities through panel interviews with alumni in industry and current upperclassmen students
