Mike is currently the President and CEO of CHA Consulting Engineers, a 1,300-person engineering, architecture and program/construction management firm with offices throughout North America. Prior to CHA, Mike’s engineering consulting career included: Executive Vice President responsible for the Western US and Pacific for AECOM, the world’s largest engineering firm; President and CEO for the UK and Middle East for ARCADIS, a global engineering firm headquartered in Amsterdam, NL; and President of the Infrastructure Division for Arcadis US.
Prior to his consulting engineering career, Mike spent 20 years on active duty in the US Air Force primarily as a Civil Engineering Officer with postings in Germany, London, Belgium, California and Colorado. His responsibilities included: overseeing the building of new NATO bases in Europe; leading the upgrade program for the US Air Force’s global space launch and tracking infrastructure; and engineer-in-charge of facilities and infrastructure for NORAD Command Center, deep inside Cheyenne Mountain in Colorado.
Mike is also an active member of the US Construction Industry Roundtable and the Design Professionals Coalition, the executive organization for large companies within the American Council of Engineering Companies. His industry focus is to expand and diversify the engineering workforce through STEM programs at the middle and high school level and is a judge for the Future Cities STEM outreach program.
Mike and his wife, Kathy live in Saratoga Springs, NY and Vail, Colorado. His two children and three grandchildren live in Denver, Colorado. Mike and Kathy enjoy skiing, cycling, golfing, reading, traveling, and cooking.
